Kieran Drea

Kieran joined M.E. Hanahoe Solicitors in 2025 after completing his traineeship with a leading commercial law firm in Dublin. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, he served for two years as a Judicial Assistant to the High Court, providing him with valuable insight into court procedure and the judicial decision-making process.

Kieran practises in the firm’s criminal law department, where he advises and represents clients at all stages of criminal investigations and prosecutions. His practice focuses on criminal defence and litigation, and he is committed to ensuring that every client receives practical advice, thorough preparation, and robust representation throughout the legal process.

Kieran has a particular academic interest in criminal law and white-collar crime. He completed a specialised LL.M. in International Criminal Law through a joint programme delivered by the University of Amsterdam and Columbia Law School, before returning to Ireland to complete his legal training.
